The flagship event of the Thomson Reuters Foundation – Trust Women conference – will be held on 17-18 November in London. This conference is committed to find real solutions to empower women and to fight slavery worldwide.
This annual event brings together 600 delegates from around the world at the highest level from global corporations, lawyers, government representatives, and pioneers in the field of women’s rights and anti-slavery.
On the agenda: the global threat of the Islamic State, the importance of girls’ education, powerful stories of survival from human trafficking victims and how to clean up supply chains of slavery. Trust Women brings together world leaders and inspirational campaigners with powerful stories and solutions for change.
High level speakers such as Emma Bonino, Former Italian Foreign Minister, Kathy Calvin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Nations Foundation and WIP Advisory Board Member, Kevin Hyland, UK Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner and Isha Johansen, President of Sierra Leone’s Football, have confirmed their participation in this conference.
