Honourable Pilar Cancela Rodríguez is a Spanish Member of the Congress of Deputies and current President of the Equality Commission since the 14th of September 2016. 

With a Bachelors Degree in Law and an Advance Degree in Laboral Risks Prevention. In addition, she has also been Chairwomen for several State Treaty and Law Proposals, such as the Law against any kind of discrimination regarding on grounds of sexual orientation, identity or expression, gender, sexual characteristics and social equality for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transexuals, transgenders and intersexuals.
