Yoonkyung Kim

Yoonkyung Kim is Project Co-Lead for Proposition & Engagement for the WPL Alliance at Women Political Leaders (WPL). She works on developing the Alliance, with a particular focus on its proposition, partnerships and engagement, and on bringing the project from its early ideas into practice.

Yoonkyung first joined WPL as part of the Partnerships team, where she worked on partner outreach, stakeholder engagement and projects supporting women’s political leadership globally.

She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin and recently studied at Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Ewha Womans University in Seoul. Through the WFUNA College Leaders programme, she also presented an SDG 16 policy proposal at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Yoonkyung speaks Korean, English, German and French, and has a strong interest in women’s political leadership, international cooperation and global affairs.
