Salma AlRashid is Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Rashid S. Alrashid and Sons Holding, where she also serves on the board. Her work spans investment, policy, and social development, with a focus on advancing inclusive and sustainable economic systems.
She began her career working directly with communities, designing development programmes grounded in lived realities. Her work later evolved towards policy and systems-level engagement, including senior leadership roles at Alnahda Society, where she led national initiatives and worked closely with government stakeholders on inclusive policy frameworks.
AlRashid has been an active contributor to global policy dialogue on gender equality. She served as Head of Delegation for Saudi Arabia to the Women 20 (W20), the G20’s official engagement group on gender equality, and as W20 Sherpa during Saudi Arabia’s G20 presidency in 2020. She has also participated in United Nations platforms and other international policy forums.
She is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Investing in Gender Parity and the Misk Foundation’s Youth Council. Her transition to the private sector reflects a continued focus on addressing structural barriers to inclusion through the lens of capital and economic participation.
