Nathalie Delapalme

Chief Executive Officer of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation; Inspector General of Finance, French Ministry of Economy and Finance (2007–2010)

Nathalie Delapalme is the Chief Executive Officer of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, which she joined in 2010. She brings more than 35 years of experience in public policy, international affairs, development, and governance, with a particular focus on Africa.

Before joining the Foundation, Nathalie served as Inspector General of Finance at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, she advised successive French Foreign Ministers on Africa and development between 1995–1997 and 2002–2007. She also served as an adviser to the Finance and Budgetary Commission of the French Senate, where she assessed fiscal and public policies.

In addition to her executive role, Nathalie holds a number of board and advisory positions. She is co-Secretary General of the Africa-Europe Foundation, sits on the Board of the International Crisis Group, serves on the Advisory Board of IFRI, and is a member of the Scientific Council of IHEDN. She is also a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

Nathalie has also served as a non-executive director on corporate boards including Maurel & Prom and Seplat, bringing her expertise in governance, sustainability, and African affairs.

She graduated from Sciences Po Paris and holds a DEA in Applied Economics (Development). Nathalie is a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and a Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite.
