“As Chairman of the House Committee on Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), I remain committed to championing inclusive education policies that expand equitable access to quality higher education and Financial Literacy , particularly for women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities. I will continue to advocate for gender-responsive budgeting in educational interventions, promote disability-friendly infrastructure across tertiary institutions, and support research and innovation that advance environmental justice and consumer rights protection.“

Hon. Miriam Onuoha is a Nigerian legislator serving in the House of Representatives of Nigeria, representing Imo State. She currently chairs the House Committee overseeing the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and is recognised within the National Assembly for her work on education financing and institutional accountability. Hon. Onuoha serves on the Constitution Review Committee and has supported reforms including the Seat Reservation Bill aimed at increasing women’s representation at national and state levels. She previously served as the Chair of the Committee on Disabilities, where she operationalised the legislative framework for Nigeria’s Disability Act.
