Anela Sylvester is a Technology and Advocacy Officer at Women Political Leaders (WPL), where she supports high-level international summits and advocacy initiatives spanning AI governance, digital health equity, and women’s political leadership. Her work spans database management, stakeholder coordination across global partners including UN agencies and GIZ, partnership development, grant support, and communications combining technical precision with strategic advocacy.
Her professional background includes digital marketing, copywriting, event organisation, healthcare support, and interdisciplinary project coordination across academic and professional settings. She has managed digital communications and branding, supported large-scale international events, and coordinated stakeholders across creative, technical, and operational teams.
Anela is pursuing a dual Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with a focus on Software Engineering at Algebra Bernays University and Goldsmiths, University of London. She previously studied medicine at the University of Zagreb and has completed the MIT Innovation Leadership Bootcamp. Alongside her formal studies she is independently developing expertise in cybersecurity and information security. Her interests centre on technology ethics, information security, healthcare systems, and human-centred digital design.
