Coming at the close of a packed week of diplomacy, this year’s reception is conceived as a moment to pause and take stock. It will bring together WPL’s network of political leaders, partners and allies to reflect on the key debates, announcements and defining moments of UNGA81, and to consider what should follow from them.
The evening returns to WPL’s flagship Representation Matters initiative as the lens through which the week’s takeaways will be considered: what was said, who was in the room, whose voices shaped the outcomes, and where women political leaders were present or absent from the conversations influencing global priorities.
