Roberta Pinotti

Roberta Pinotti, Member of the Senate, Minister of Defence (2014-2016 and 2016-2018): “What are we pledging to do in order to move faster towards the Beijing agenda? We shall help women make a difference in choices. We shall help women play a leading role in peace processes. We shall strive so that each successful woman may give a hand to another woman to help her up. We shall strive to eliminate role stereotypes for men and women. We shall strive for equal pay for men and women. Lastly, a very serious problem, a tragic one, which concerns women everywhere in the world: femicide: women killed at the hands of men. We shall plan a strategy to combat violence against women and we believe that this should be a shared goal.”
