Hon Branka Bošnjak has been actively involved in politics since 2006, since when she had been elected as Member of Parliament during several terms of the Parliament of Montenegro, the term of the Constituent Assembly (2006-2009), 25th and 26th Parliament of Montenegro (2012-2020). She is also one of the founders and Vice-President of the parliamentary party Movement for Changes.

In the period 2013-2016, as a representative of the Parliament of Montenegro, she was a member of the Senate of the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje.

During her parliamentary carrier, she has been the proposer of several legislative enactments, like the following: Law on the Origins of Assets and Special Taxation, Law on Amendments to the Law on Higher Education, Law on Amendments to the General Law on Education and the Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Sector Salaries.
