April 9-10, 2014: Parliamentary workshop at the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group
On April 9 and 10, the World Bank Group and the IMF are organizing their regular workshop for Parliamentarians, in cooperation with the Parliamentary Network (on the World Bank and IMF). The Workshop is taking place just ahead of the Bank and Fund Spring Meetings and is focusing on key themes of the meetings. The Workshop gives parliamentarians a platform on which to engage with senior management and experts of the IMF and the World Bank Group.
The workshop programme will amongst others include sessions on shared prosperity, youth employment, and the new Country Partnership Framework, Systematic Country Diagnostics and Citizen Engagement strategy. Speakers include Chief Economist Kaushik Basu; Director for Social Protection Arup Banerji; and Director for Operations Policy and Quality Linda van Gelder.
