Women make up half of the population and continue to be under-represented in decision-making. We need to progress with a view to achieve gender equality de facto in the distribution of power, responsibilities and representation. We all, women and men leaders, shall join in global advocacy for raising social and economic costs of gender-based violence as a powerful awareness-raising tool in exposing the cost of inaction.
