Pascal Lamy
Pascal Lamy served two terms as Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) from 2005 to 2013. In 1981 he became advisor to France’s Minister of Economy and Finance, then Deputy Head of French PM Pierre Mauroy’s cabinet in 1983. Between 1985 and 1994, Mr. Lamy was Head of the President of the European Commission’s Cabinet at the G- 7. In 1994 he helped manage the recovery of Crédit Lyonnais, then served as the bank’s CEO until its privatization in 1999. He was appointed in 2019 as Chair of the Paris Peace Forum. He is also President of the French Committee of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC), President Emeritus of the Jacques Delors Institute, and President of the World Committee of Tourism Ethics. He is a trustee at Europeum and an affiliate Professor at both HEC Paris and the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. He currently serves on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on regional governance.
