The POWER TOGETHER: Reykjavik Summit 2019 is be the second roundtable of extraordinary women leaders. Women who have reached the highest echelons of leadership and influence in their countries, Presidents, Prime Ministers and special guests addressed the most complex challenges of our times.
The POWER TOGETHER: Reykjavik Summit 2019 expanded on the outcomes of the Women Leaders: Power Together 2018 and was held in cooperation with the Council of Women World Leaders (CWWL), the University of Iceland and Hofdi Reykjavik Peace Centre.
The meeting takes place on a yearly basis at the Reykjavik Global Forum- Women Leaders.
In line with the Women Leaders: Power Together Declaration 2018, and with the 20th anniversary of UNSCR 1325 in 2020, the Reykjavík Summit 2019 is the perfect occasion to collectively work towards identifying the best opportunities for claiming a seat for women at the negotiation table for peace and security, closing the data gap, and securing the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security National Action Plans.
