We need more women participating in politics, as political party leaders, parliamentarians, holding office in local and regional governments and in the highest positions within the State, on an equal footing with men and free from violence. The participation of women, in all their diversity, is the fundamental cornerstone to position and enrich the democratic and political debate held on a country’s strategic issues. A society that doesn’t include women in politics is not democratic, and has fewer resources available for its development.
